Top-entry plate mount mixers. Stirrers with fully cantilevered bare shaft connected directly to the motor. Construction lengths from 150 to 1500 mm depending on the depth of the tank.

RAPID MIXING

High-speed mixers for use in medium-small tanks. Used in the purification and neutralisation of water, in the treatment of acid fumes, in fertigation processes, in preparing solutions from powder or liquid and in mixing chlorine in granules.

3-BLADE IMPELLER

With a three-blade marine propeller with no metal inserts, insensitive to the direction of rotation. It is possible to obtain downward or upward flows by simply inverting the motor’s direction of rotation.

ALSO AVAILABLE IN METAL

AN top mount mixers are also available in a metal version with no support flange. In this variant, all wetted parts (shaft and impeller) are made of stainless steel (AISI 304). Typical applications (liquids that are not highly corrosive): wastewater treatment, production of biogas, mixing of additives and reagents, preparation of slaked lime, water flocculation, agitation of pigments and dyes, mixing of chlorine solutions, mixing of fertilisers and manures.

CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS

Three-blade-marine-propeller-in-PP-for-acid-waters-and-corrosive-fluids

PP

The most widely used
anti-acid plastic polymer for use in corrosive environments. It offers good resistance to most acid and alkaline solutions and can be used, depending on the concentration of the aggressive liquids, up to a temperature of 80°C.

Three-blade marine propeller in PVC for chemicals and aggressive solutions

PVC

Plastic material with excellent resistance to acids, bases, saline solutions and organic compounds. PVC is generally used when treating sodium hypochlorite (NaClO).
At low temperatures it becomes fragile. The operating temperature is between 40 and 60°C.

Three-blade marine propeller in PVDF for highly corrosive chemicals

PVDF

Thermoplastic with exceptional resistance to corrosion and temperature. PVDF covers a wide range of uses but
is ideal for highly concentrated acids.It is not suitable for certain inorganic bases, such as caustic soda. Operating temperature: max. 100°C

Stainless steel three-blade propeller for general industrial mixing requirements

AISI 304

AN mixers are also available in stainless steel. This version can be used to mix industrial liquids that are not particularly aggressive, such as: fertilisers, manures, quenching treatments, wastewater, graphite suspensions, mineral oils. Maximum operating temperature: approx. 100°C

CUSTOM-MADE FLANGE

The PVC support plates of our industrial mixers are also available in custom-made shapes and sizes. Only AN05 and AN07 thermoplastic mixers (the two smallest models in the Plastic Series) and the entire AN SS metal range (stainless steel mixers) require no flange coupling, being directly keyed to the motor flange.

FRAMES AND TANKS

AN top entering mixers can be mounted inside tanks of varying capacity, turning them into mixing units or production stations. These mixing stations can be equipped with various optional features, including: metal frames, (fixed version) metal frames with wheels (mobile version), electrical panels, drainage valves, containment tanks.

AN30 MIXER FOR IBC

This Range of corrosion-resistant mixers comes with a particular option for mounting onto storage tanks and tote tanks. The AN30 model adapts perfectly to typical caged containers (IBC) thanks to a metal support with quick release toggle clamps. The steel mounting frame is designed with forklifts truck brackets.

HOW TO CHOOSE A MIXER

In order to size a specific mixer and ensure effective mixing, it is necessary to evaluate several variables which often interact with each other: the type of liquid (or liquids) to be mixed, the volume to be handled, the purpose of the process, the geometry of the container, the position of the mixer. In this preliminary operation, the manufacturer’s experience is always a decisive added value, given the changing conditions that frequently affect industrial processes and liquids.
